Student Support Counselor can help students with:
Guide the navigation of institutional policies and student rights per the Student Handbook and Academic Catalog
Ensure ADA compliance and serve as a resource for accommodations
Reconnect students with Faculty Academic Advisors, course instructors, and other academic departmental leadership for academic assistance
Review paperwork related to adding/dropping a class, taking a semester off, reentry into a program, course substitutions for study abroad, conference reimbursements, etc.
Provide advising to international students, exchange visitors, faculty & staff
Completion of program information
Guiding students through the student complaint process
Student concerns and feedback regarding the program
Assist students in identifying individualized best practices for time- and other self-management
Manage the Early Connect Program to support incoming new students
Connect students with university resources such as Veteran/Military support, Wellness and Student Solutions, Petitions for Policy Exception, etc.
Direct event planning and scheduling for New Student Orientation, Commencement, and many other campus events
Each program has an assigned Student Support Counselor. Most Counselors are available to assist students in all programs.
