Chicago​​

Continuum of Care Emergency Financial Assistance Programs  
Provides critical financial assistance to people experiencing. Or at risk of, homelessness or another serious emergency. We quickly provide payment on a person's behalf for things like rent, utilities, or transportation. 

Apply for Cash Assistance

Cash, SNAP, Medical Assistance, Temporary Assistance for the Needy, Aid to the Aged, Blind and Disabled, EarnFare, Earned Income Tax Credit, Link card. Many other resources are also included on this website.

CalWORKS Cash Assistance  
The California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) provides temporary financial assistance and employment focused services to families with minor children who have income and property below State maximum limits for their family size. CalWORKs is a time limited program that helps to pay for housing, food, utilities, clothing and other necessary expenses.

Los Angeles County General Relief

General Relief (GR) is a County-funded program that provides cash aid to indigent adults, and children in certain special circumstances who are ineligible for Federal or State programs.

Orange County General Relief (Anaheim)
General Relief (GR) is a cash assistance program funded by the County of Orange. It provides temporary cash aid to eligible indigent adult lawful residents who do not have custody of any minor children and do not qualify for Federal or State funded cash aid programs. GR is a loan.

San Diego County General Relief
 Provides temporary cash assistance for eligible county residents who have no other means of support. Any aid received must be repaid to the county. Completed hours of required Job Training may count toward repayment of the debt. For more information call 1-866-262-9881

California Unemployment Insurance

 You may be eligible for unemployment if you lost your job or had your hours reduced. The information found here will help guide you through the claim filing process.

Health and Suman Services offers cash assistance to Texans going through tough times, TANF offers cash to help pay bills, buy food, and help see your family through.

Family Independence Temporary Assistance (FITAP)

The Family Independence Temporary Assistance Program (FITAP) is a public assistance program that provides financial aid for children in their own homes who are in need because they do not have sufficient financial support from their parents.

Kinship Care Subsidy Program (KCSP)

The Kinship Care Subsidy Program (KCSP) provides cash assistance of $222 per month for each eligible child who resides with a qualified relative other than a parent. Learn More

Louisiana Unemployment Insurance supplies temporary financial assistance to workers who are laid off or furloughed due to circumstances beyond their control. Learn More

Washington DC

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families

The District's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program provides cash assistance to families in need, along with a suite of services to facilitate their path to success. Families enrolled in the District's TANF program may receive benefits so long as they are income eligible and have a child in the home.
