Methodology

The Office of Institutional Research (OIR) surveyed The Chicago School alumni who graduated in academic year 2021 – 2022 (AY 21–22)1 using a web-based questionnaire. Using The Chicago School’s alumni database, OIR identified 1,456 The Chicago School alumni with a valid email address who graduated in AY 21 – 22 from a The Chicago School campus. Contact information for the sample was provided by The Chicago School’s alumni database. The survey was available from 08/07/23 to 09/15/23. The response rate for the survey is 14.8%2 (n=216) with a margin of error of ±6.2%.3 To increase response rates, OIR first contacted individuals using an introductory email on 08/07/23 with subsequent reminder emails. The total number of possible contacts attempted by OIR was four.

Please note that this disclosure only includes information from academic programs that had five or more survey responses to the following survey item: Are you currently employed?4 The results presented in the following disclosure are based on survey responses from AY 21 – 22 graduates responding to this survey whose programs have at least 5 qualified respondents (n=133).

Contact information for the sample was provided by The Chicago School’s alumni database. The survey was available from 07/12/22 to 08/20/22. The response rate for the survey is 13.7%2 (n=191) with a margin of error of ±6.6%.3 To increase response rates, OIR first contacted individuals using an introductory email on 06/22/21 with subsequent reminder emails. The total number of possible contacts attempted by OIR was three.

The response rate for the survey is 16.4%2 (n=234) with a margin of error of ±6.4%.3 To increase response rates, OIR first contacted individuals using an introductory email on 06/22/21 with subsequent reminder emails. The total number of possible contacts attempted by OIR was three.

The response rate for the survey is 17.1%2 (n=228) with a margin of error of ±6.5%.3 To increase response rates, OIR first contacted individuals using an introductory email on 07/29/20 with subsequent reminder emails. The total number of possible contacts attempted by OIR was three.

Contact information for the sample was provided by The Chicago School's alumni database. The survey was available from 07/16/19 to 08/12/19. The response rate for the survey is 18.9%2 (n=196) with a margin of error of ±6.3%.3

 To increase response rates, OIR first contacted individuals using an introductory email on 07/16/19 with subsequent reminder emails. The total number of possible contacts attempted by OIR was five.

Using The Chicago School's alumni database, OIR identified 1,073 The Chicago School alumni who graduated in AY 16 – 17 from a Chicago School campus. Contact information for the sample was provided by The Chicago School's alumni database. The survey was available from 07/16/18 to 08/12/18. The overall response rate for the survey is 24.7% with a margin of error of ±6.0%.2

In order to increase response rates, OIR first contacted individuals using an introductory email on 07/16/18 with subsequent reminder emails. The total number of possible contacts attempted by OIR was five.

The results presented in the following disclosure are based on survey responses from 265 AY 16 – 17 survey respondents. The Office of Institutional Research (OIR) surveyed The Chicago School alumni who graduated in academic year 2015 – 2016 (AY 15 – 16)1 using a web-based questionnaire. The questionnaire contained a total of 117 survey items that were in the form of multiple choice questions, Likert response scales, and open-ended questions.

Using The Chicago School’s alumni database, OIR identified 1,069 The Chicago School alumni who graduated in AY 15 – 16 from a Chicago School campus. Contact information for the sample was provided by TCSPP’s alumni database. The survey was launched on July 17, 2017 and closed on August 13, 2017. The overall response rate for the survey is 24.2 percent with a margin of error of ±6.1 percent.2

In order to increase response rates, OIR first contacted individuals using an introductory email on July 17, 2017 with subsequent reminder emails. The total number of possible contacts attempted by OIR was five. Additionally, three survey respondents were randomly selected to win their choice of a $100 gift card or a $100 contribution toward a professional membership of their choice.

The results presented in the following disclosure are based on survey responses from 259 AY 15 – 16 survey respondents. Please note that this disclosure only includes information from academic programs that have five or more survey responses.3

​2016 Alumni Employment Outcomes

Introduction
The Chicago School annually surveys recent alumni to assess their professional growth and employment outcomes in order to support accreditation needs and examine the value of degree programs. In order to accomplish this, The Chicago School tasked the Office of Institutional Research (OIR) with a web-based assessment of recent Chicago School alumni. This report examines general employment trends from the survey’s Summer 2016 administration which includes 628 responses from The Chicago School alumni comprising of three academic years1: AY 10 – 11, AY 12 – 13, AY 14 – 15.

The 2016 assessment has two main functions:
1.) To provide support to accreditation by tracking employment outcomes and professional experiences of recent alumni.
2.) To provide information to The Chicago School on the quality and value of career and alumni support services.

Methodology
The goal of OIR’s assessment is to provide information needed to serve both functions. In order to do this, OIR surveyed The Chicago School alumni who received a conferred degree or certificate in academic years 2010 – 2011 (AY 10 – 11), 2012 – 2013 (AY 12 – 13), and 2014 – 2015 (AY 14 – 15) using a web-based questionnaire. The questionnaire contained survey items that were in the form of multiple choice questions, Likert response scales, and open-ended questions.

Using The Chicago School’s alumni database, OIR identified 3,479 alumni who received a conferred degree or certificate in AY 10 – 11 (1,058 alumni), AY 12 – 13 (1,176 alumni), or AY 14 – 15 (1,245 alumni).2 The current assessment includes responses from 628 alumni.

In order to increase response rates, OIR first contacted individuals using an introductory email on July 18, 2016, that included an individualized link to the questionnaire. Individuals that had not responded to the survey received reminder emails with an individualized link on July 25, 2016. An additional four reminder emails were sent on August 1, 2016; August 8, 2016; August 10, 2016; and August 12, 2016. The total number of possible contacts attempted by OIR was six. Additionally, respondents were asked if they would like to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of three $100 gift cards.

The Office of Institutional Research (OIR) surveyed The Chicago School alumni who graduated in academic year 2014 – 2015 (AY 14 – 15)1 using a web-based questionnaire. The questionnaire contained a total of seventy questions that were in the form of multiple choice questions, Likert response scales, and open-ended questions.

Using The Chicago School’s alumni database, OIR identified 1,245 TCSPP alumni who graduated in AY 14 – 15 from a TCSPP campus. Contact information for the sample was provided by The Chicago School’s alumni database. The survey was launched on July 18, 2016 and closed on August 14, 2016. The overall response rate for the survey is 23.1 percent with a margin of error of ±5.8 percent.2

In order to increase response rates, OIR first contacted individuals using an introductory email on July 18, 2016 with subsequent reminder emails. The total number of possible contacts attempted by OIR was six. Additionally, three survey respondents were randomly selected to win their choice of a $100 gift card or a $100 contribution toward a professional membership of their choice.

The results presented in the following disclosure are based on survey responses from 256 AY 14 – 15 survey respondents. Please note that this disclosure only includes information from academic programs that have five or more survey responses.3

Introduction

The Chicago School is dedicated to providing quality career and alumni support services. To accomplish this, The Chicago School tasked the Office of Institutional Research (OIR) with a web-based assessment of recent Chicago School graduates. The purpose of this assessment is to examine career and alumni support services from a recent Chicago School graduate perspective. 

The data shared within this document is self-reported based on survey responses from The Chicago School during the 2013—2014 academic year only. The information presented is intended to function only as a sample of the types of positions and employers in which graduates of the program work. It in no way guarantees that future graduates will secure employment with either the employers or in the job titles listed. Methodology

OIR surveyed Chicago School alumni who graduated in academic year 2013 – 2014 (AY 13 – 14)  using a web-based questionnaire. The questionnaire contained a total of seventy questions that were in the form of multiple choice questions, Likert response scales, and open-ended questions.

Using The Chicago School’s alumni database, OIR identified 1,009 TCSPP alumni who graduated in AY 13 – 14 from any of the The Chicago School campuses. The current assessment includes responses from 357 alumni.

In order to increase response rates, OIR first contacted individuals using an introductory email on March 9, 2015 with subsequent reminder emails. The total number of possible contacts attempted by OIR was five. Additionally, respondents were asked if they would like to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $100 VISA gift card. ​

Contact information for the sample was provided by The Chicago School’s alumni database. The survey was launched on March 9, 2015 and closed on April 3, 2015. Of the 1,009 individuals included in the sample, OIR was unable to contact 32 and 13 individuals refused to participate in the survey. The overall response rate for the survey is 35.4 percent with a 96.1 percent cooperation rate and a margin of error of ±5.2 percent.  The results presented in the following assessment are from 357 TCSPP alumni.
