Maggie Wilmot-Francis, President -
Rashida Walker, Vice President- 4th year Doctoral Student
Rashida is currently in her 4th year of graduate school. She has clinical interest in working with adults who manage everyday stressors, anxiety, and depression. She also has interest in working with children who carry co-morbid physical and mental health conditions. Her dissertation focuses Black Maternal Mental health disparities. In Rashida's free time, she focuses on selfcare through playing soccer, spending time with her 3 year old adopted dog, Teddy Wood, and spending time with her family and friends.
Aaliyah Gibbons, Treasurer- 4th year Doctoral Student
Aaliyah is currently in her fourth year of her graduate studies. Her clinical interests include addiction and mood disorders while her research examines the physical and mental health effects of various forms of trauma. In her free time she enjoys reading, watching horror movies, and spending time with her two younger siblings.
Daija Jackson, Secretary- 2nd Year Doctoral Student
Daija is currently in her 2nd year of graduate school. She has interests in working with military and veteran populations, addressing trauma and the stigma of mental health within the military culture. She also has interests in exploring the role psychological distress plays in the onset of physical illness. In her free time, Daija enjoys playing pick-up soccer in D.C., being outdoors, and spending time.
Jojo Hickson, Social Media Chair- 3rd year Doctoral Student
Jojo is a 3rd year Clinical Psy.D student, a member of the Association of Black Psychologists, the DC Psychological Association, and the CEO of her own non-profit, Dear Black Prophets, Co. She is the woman behind our social media feeds and has a clinical interest in racial trauma and oppression. Jojo enjoys doing social justice work and is steadfast in her pursuit for Black liberation. In her free time she enjoys writing poetry and listening to music.
