Student poster presenter.jpgThe Chicago School values and supports students' professional development through involvement in student organizations, professional memberships, and conferences. Eligible students in good academic standing may apply annually for funding to attend one conference as a presenter, leader/delegate, or attendee, or to cover membership fees.​



Overview and Instructions 

  • Complete the Student Professiona​l Developm​ent Funds request form​. Complete the form in its entirety. including signing and dating. Attach all supporting documentation in one PDF document. 
  • Copies of all receipts for all expenses for which you are requesting funding must be submitted. 
  • For future events, include anticipated costs & outcomes. If approved, receipts for all expenses for which you are requesting funding must be submitted within 2 weeks of the conference end date. 
  • An incomplete request will be returned. You will receive a confirmation of receipt e-mail when your request is complete and ready for processing. Requests are approved on a rolling basis and typically take between 2 to 3 weeks to process. 

Award Amounts & Process 

You are eligible to request one of the below expenses per fiscal year (June 1 May 31). For conference expenses 

include registration, travel, and lodging receipts. For membership fees include a receipt of paid fees. 


  • Conference presenter: Up to $300 
  • Conference leader/delegate: Up to $200 
  • Conference attendee/memberships: Up to $100
