The application window is now open and will close at 11:59 PM ​PT on Monday, June 23.

Please note the following:​

  • To be considered, you must submit your completed application by the deadline.  There will be no exceptions.  
  • The Scholarship Review Committee will announce recipients in August.  
  • Decisions of the committee are final and may not be appealed.  ​

The Dr. Michael Horowitz & Dr. Jeannie Gutierrez Immigrant/First Generation Scholarship 

The Dr. Michael Horowitz/Dr. Jeannie Gutierrez First Generation Scholarship was established to support students whose parents have not graduated from college or who are the first in the family to receive a graduate degree or who are immigrants to the United States and pursuing higher education for the first time in the US. This scholarship was established to enable students to blaze a new trail of success for their families and in their communities.

Award Amount: $10,000 (non-renewable)

The President’s Scholarship Fund

The President’s Scholarship Fund was created and supported by Dr. Michele Nealon to specifically recognize students' unique journey through single parenthood to completion of the highest level of mental health degrees.
