Accounts and Passwords

You only need to remember one username and password to access most school resources. There are a few exceptions that use separate credentials, such as the Career Hub, IRB websites, and GoToMeeting.

Usernames and School Login Id's

​Your username and School Login Id refer to the same thing: The first part of your email address, before the @ symbol. For example, if your email address is abc1234@ego.thechicagoschool.edu, your username and school login ID is abc1234

Passwords

You can reset your password 24-hours a day using the Password Reset tool. You'll find it both on the employee intranet and student gateway sign-in pages, as well as on the MyChicagoSchool student gateway. If you run into problems, contact the Help Desk; you'll find a link to their contact information in the Navigation menu on the left.

Password requirements:

  • At least eight (8) ch​​aracters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one number
  • Cannot use three consecutive characters in your first or last name (Example: If your name is Taylor, you could not have 'tay' in your password)
  • Cannot recycle your last three passwords

​Anywhere, anytime, any device

Students can sign-in to the My.TheChicagoSchool.edu student gateway (this website) and faculty can sign-in to the Employee Intranet​ from anywhere, anytime, and any device with a web browser to access:

  • Outlook email
  • Canvas online classrooms
  • Library databases and articles
  • Office 365 online applications (OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, People, Calendar)​
  • APP Database (also called ALCEA)

​On campus

When you're visiting any campus of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, your username and password give you access to:

  • Wireless networks ("Students" and "Faculty")
  • Classroom, library, and laboratory computers
  • PaperCut website (web print)
  • Campus printers (scan, copy, and print documents)

Smartphone ​Apps​

If you want to check your school email from your smartphone, download the Microsoft Outlook app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Also, you can install your school email account using your default Apple or Android mail application.  

You may also install the Canvas app to access the online classrooms. The first time you run the app, you'll be asked for the school's URL. Be sure to enter: tcsedsystem.instructure.com​.​​
