​Canvas Learning Platform​ - Online Classroom

As a student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, you will use the Canvas Learning Platform to manage all of your courses, assignments and syllabi, along with many other capabilities and resources the system offers . We want to ensure you have some information about the functions and resources offered through Canvas, along with how to access it so we have set up this page to assist.

 Academic Resources in Canvas

  • ​Campus Writing Centers: Your campus writing center may offer Canvas-based courses on academic writing, dissertation development, or other topics. Visit our Writing Resources​ page to learn more.
  • Smart Thinking: 24/7 access to writing and statistics support, as well as some subject-specific tutoring.


 Canvas Instructions

  • ​Visit the Community Site​
  • Click on: Access the Student Gateway
  • Click on “Go to Classes” in the top right corner of the screen
  • Enter your TCSPP username and password when prompted
  • All on ground and online new students will have access to courses in CANVAS a few days before classes begin​
  • All online students will have access to the Online Orientation module in Canvas a couple of weeks before classes begin
 

Canvas Guide for Students​

The Canvas guide for students helps answer commonly asked questions such as how to set up notification preferences, how to use the Canvas calendar, how to upload files along with many other topics. This guide will be helpful to all new users. Click on the link above that says "Canvas Guide for Students" to gain access.


Canvas Help​

Canvas offers a help section that will direct you to resources, guides and a means to locate answers to questions you have about how to use the learning platform. Click the "Canvas Help" link above to access this information.
