Safe Zone Training Program

Safe Zone trainings have been presented on college and university campuses since the 1990s, here at The Chicago School the Safe Zone program has been part of our campus life for more than 15 years. Safe Zone trainings are designed to inform attendees, be they faculty, staff, or student, on how to support members of the LGBTQIA+ community at The Chicago School and beyond. From definitions and understanding the acronym to complex issues facing Trans and Non-Binary members of the community, the Safe Zone program provides insight and next steps on supporting and working with this population. The program includes 4 one hour workshops, designed to be taken in sequence, at the end participants will receive a Safe Zone sticker to be displayed to show members of the LGBTQIA+ community that they are there to support them.
