Student Support Counselor can help students with:
Monitor student progress toward graduation requirements and assist with degree audits
Registration and scheduling questions – online students are registered by their Student Support Counselor
Link students with technology support tutorials
Provide further information on Smarthinking resource within Canvas classroom
Review and comply with policies from the Student Handbook and Academic Catalog
Connect students with Academic Faculty Advisors, Instructors and Academic support resources if students are in need of academic assistance
Review forms such as Add/Drop of a class, Leave of Absence, Reentry, Course Substitution/Study Abroad, etc.
Guide the navigation of institutional policies and student rights per the Student Handbook and Academic Catalog
Ensure ADA compliance and serve as a resource for accommodations
Reconnect students with Faculty Academic Advisors, course instructors, and other academic departmental leadership for academic assistance
Guiding students through the student complaint process
Student concerns and feedback regarding the program
Assist students in identifying individualized best practices for time- and other self-management
Connect students with university resources such as Veteran/Military support, Wellness and Student Solutions, Petitions for Policy Exception, etc.
