WHAT IS THE ACADEMIC Integrity SEMINAR (AIS)?

AIS is a self-directed course within Canvas that offers tutorials designed to assist students in understanding plagiarism and academic integrity. The course includes the OSWL Plagiarism Test, a required assignment for many courses, as well as a practice TII submission area.

Faculty can also request enrollment ​for students​ who need supplemental writing support.

Dissertation Workshop

WHAT IS THE Dissertation workshop?

This course is designed to support you during your dissertation writing journey. We will cover:
1. The dissertation project and mindset,
2. The dissertation writing process, and
3. APA mechanics.

​Over the seven weeks of the term, you will submit and practice different writing portions of the dissertation for feedback and support. Ideally, at the end of the term, you will have gained confidence, a dissertation project plan, and the mechanics needed to produce a meaningful contribution to the academic literature in your field.

 

HOW DO I ACCESS the dissertation workshop?

Students interested in enrolling in the course can reach out to [email protected]​. The course runs in conjunction with each semester start date, and enrollment requests must be received at least 7 days prior to term start. Check your academic calendar for specific term start dates. 

Please note, to enroll, students must be actively working on their dissertation and have completed their program's first dissertation course. ​
