The Office of Sponsored Programs works with students to discover funding sources for research or dissertation projects only. While we do not assist students in finding opportunities to fund tuitition, such as scholarships, we have compiled information below to help point you in the right direction. Please contact these resources for appropriate support.
Best of luck,
The Office of Sponsored Programs
The Office of Financial Aid has outlined ways to finance your education in a helpful way: https://www.thechicagoschool.edu/admissions/financing-your-education/
The American Psychological Foundation has a Program Match Tool where you can check-in periodically to search your eligibility (i.e. "undergraduate") and funding type ("academic funding"). Scholarship example: https://ampsychfdn.org/funding/brehm-undergraduate-scholarships/
Google is also your best asset for uncovering scholarship opportunities because it allows you to think outside the box and find unexpected sources. For example, health food companies offer scholarships such as: https://www.topnutritioncoaching.com/blog/best-greens-powders#scholarship and https://letsliveitup.com/blogs/supergreens/best-super-greens-powders#scholarship
Other sources to search:
- The American Counseling Association
- Your state's counseling association
- Your local government and utility companies
- Any company with a presence in your community (i.e. Chain restaurants, banks, grocery & retail stores)
Contact The Office of Financial Aid so an expert can help you navigate all of these options, including private lenders and any options not listed. They can also let you know about your work/study eligibility so you may begin applying to open student positions. If student employment is something you're interested in, you can view openings through the school's Handshake employment platform.
In addition to your academic advisor, your program should have an assigned Student Support Counselor to help guide you. You can reach Student Support here: (800) 595.6938, Option #1 and [email protected]
