Service Learning

Service Learning Courses combine academic coursework with real-world experiences. Students EXPERIENCE the material, faculty are energized with new projects and fresh ideas, and partners benefit from added support; it’s a WIN-WIN-WIN! Measurable change can be seen in both the provider and recipient resulting in a radically-effective transformative teaching method.

"Service Learning is a form of experiential education in which students engage in activities that address human and community needs together with structured opportunities for reflection designed to achieve desired learning outcomes" - Barbara Jacoby, Service-Learning in Higher Education, 1996.
