MISSION
The Office of Global Engagement facilitates international opportunities at The Chicago School, including extensive study abroad and international immersion programs as well as international student support.
Study Abroad programs are run throughout the year, developed and led by Chicago School faculty. The programs offer hands-on international experience and give students the opportunity to engage with diverse populations around the globe.
Global Engagement staff advise F-1 and J-1 status international students and their dependents on matters including immigration status maintenance, social security, and employment. Global Engagement staff cannot advise students in other visa statuses (e.g. H-1B, H-4, L-2). Students in visa statuses other than F-1 and J-1 should seek visa advice from the organization that supports their visa or an immigration attorney.
By collaborating with other departments across The Chicago School, Global Engagement strives to provide high quality programs, services, and advice on cross-cultural & academic adjustment, health insurance, and personal concerns in order to assist international students in achieving their personal and educational goals while at The Chicago School. International students bring a valuable intercultural dimension to the educational program and the life of The Chicago School community.
